I bought my 07 Fatboy on 29 March 07. The check engine light came on at 29kms on the way home and so began a trail of problems that kept the bike off the road for more time that I care to remember. (34 days at the dealer alone for warranty repairs.) In June due to all the problems HDissued me another years warranty. But the problems kept coming.
On 18th December I picked the bike up after what was to be its 1600km service and tohave all the bugs finally fixed but 30 kms later the rear axel cover came adrift (again). I rode it back to the dealer the next day and they replaced it for the third time and finally on 20th December I got to ride the bike for the first time without something being wrong or something going wrong.
This is my first Harley andhopefully now I can start enjoying the experience that I dreamt about for so many years. As all the paintwork was replaced and a new speedo installed at least I sort of feel like I'm riding a new bike!
Not the best way to be introduced, but surely the story has gotta get better from here!
