if you want to talk about respect ive given you guys all the respect. i havnt knocked you guys once, thats more than i can say for alot of you. i think that ive been pretty humble about talking to you guys. but if you want to try to pick on my because my bike has a japanese name on it. thats fine but keep in mind that my japanese bike is union built in ohio. with 75% content american parts. and keep in mind that harleys only contain 47% american parts. also keep in mind that your harley shocks, harley wireing harness and if you should happen to have a harley carbeurator then you all have genuine honda parts making your bike mix fuel, make your lights and ignition work and give you that nice soft ride. i know i know you dont believe me but its ok, but look it up.

And once apon a time a person rode a harley because they wanted to be anti-establishment. now harley is the establishment, which is good for them. id want to make all that money too, however i was never one to be a sheep and go with what is thought of as the best.

for all of you that have been genuine to me thank you this post isnt aimed at you at all. you are the people that i really like to meet and talk to on the road. you are the kind of person who has an open mind.

and just remember, i said that i would talk down to you unless you guys started with me. and if being a harley rider makes you want to act that way twords other people because of there choices, then youll never see me on a harley.

Chris,

I'll say it again, I've not disrespected you, nor am I pushing Harleys on you, nor am I trying to tell you why your bike isn't what I think you think it is.

It's a HARLEY forum.

Don't be guilty of what you accuse us of being (judgemental an "looking down our nose"). I ride with "metric cruisers" all the time. I don't care, and most on this forum don't either. What I'm saying is, this is a HARLEY forum. We're here to fucus on HARLEYS.

Once again, thanks for your cooperation.

Hi, My name is SeaBear 70, and I ride an X.

I see a lot of beautiful bikes out there, some Harley's and Some Metric, I chose an X.

I do not expect anyone to understand why I chose my bike, just as there is no way to really explain the emotional experience when you knoew you had found just the right Scoot for you.

I will make you a deal, Don't dis my ride, and I won't dis yours.

I won't appoligize for my choice of bikes, and I have absolutely no regrets, I won't ask for your appology for the dirty looks nd prejudice I've experienced since I bought this bike.

When you get right down to it folks, this Harly vs. Honda thing get's rather old more quickly than I'd have imagines when I bought my bike. It's childish and it's pathetic, especially when we are all in this together against the ineptitude, arrogance, and ignorance of the driver's of the average cage, our elected officials, and the public at large that thinks we are all refugees from a 60's biker movie.

So, let's end this, here and now.

Damn, its already started. I dont care to talk about american content of production practices. I dont care to compare any rice burner to an HD. I joined this forum because of the passion I have for HD, its ownership, and the experiences Ive gained putting down miles on one. Hell, the name of the forum was Harley Davidson forum, now its gray, but Im not. Sure you can do the same on a jap bike. Its cheaper, it will perform as good or better, but its not and never will be the same, and the only way to find that out is to ride an HD. Im not into bashing, Im into riding. Ill share the road with you, exchange pleasantries, even work on your bike, but I'll never praise one, buy one, or enjoy riding one, and I really dont care to waste my chat time talking about one (jap bike that is). So if you want to talk HD, thats fine. You want to talk road trips, thats fine. You want your bike to sound like a Harley, go buy a Harley. You want your bike to look like a Harley, go buy a Harley. You want to be content with your choice of purchase, and think that there is no better, and you cant see why someone would put so much money into an overpriced motorcycle that wont perform as good as what you have, you prob need to go somewhere else, cause youll never 'get it'. Most people on here have 'got it', and thats the base for this forum. Ride on!

Yeah, it is starting to feel a bit like an old Clint Eastwood movie, isn't it.
