Hello again all, I am kinda curious as to why my thread was locked out. but oh well. i understand the point of your forum and thats what i wanted to experiance. but in all fairness, i wanted you all to know that i dont have an HD and i dont want to pretend i have one. i think thats only fair and honest. im not going to argue how american my bike is VS the harleys. all that crap is stupid. i ride a motorcycle you guys ride motorcycles. no one is any better than anyone else. to me it doesnt matter what you ride as long as you ride. and im here to experiance new things and talk to some good people which i know you all are. so if you want to down me thats fine, but im not going to put you guys down, im better than that, however ill put my hand out there for who ever wants to shake it, and be a friend of the road.
Nice bike Chriss...I was really getting into that thread myself but I guess they thought we got too carried away? My brother in-law has a VTX, I rode it few times and it handles very nimbly (is that a word?) for a large twin, has a Road King feel to it.
I think you'll eventuaully get board here because there's nothing really being said about other makes of bikes, unles of course you count the few off comments made by a very few...every crowd has 'em.
Good luck in the Navy and hope you and your friends continue to be safe.
thanks fryeca, its greatly appreciated. i love my vtx, its got a single pin crank like your harleys do but the cams have a smaller lop to them so the sound is almost there. but i think its sounds great. ive ridden my dads road king, and it was a real nice ride. his road king only out wieghs my vtx by like 150 lbs. i really dont think thats much. i dont think ill really get bored, i didnt join here meet other metric guys, i joined here to see if i could make some HD friends and shoot the ****. and your right every crowd has the off comments. the vtx board has pepople that bash the HD's and i know theres HD's that bash the metrics. but say what you will and im going to think what i think. ive told you all what i think and where i stand. and im pretty sure i can make more fiends here then enemys (sp).
Chris, I don't care what you ride, but if you ride.
And if you come to my house, I expect a reasonable amount of respect from you, or you'll obviously not be welcome back... visa-versa.
Have to admit your wannbe looks pretty good. Till I read thru this thread I didnt realize it was a rice burner and had to take a second look. Yes, I too own a Honda, but given that the foundation of this forum is Harley Davidson, not motorcycles-R-us, I think your enthusiasm is misplaced imho....adios
It really doesnt matter what you ride, its the company you keep that really matters.
I think you will find some good threads to participate here no matter what you ride. There are alot of good posts about riding experiences, good routes to take on a trip,
etc, etc. This place is good for all around riding talk not just harleys. Respect what we ride and we will respect what you ride. If we rag on you for what you ride, from most of us it will be just be fooling around. Dont take it personal.
As far as im concerned, stick around and have a good time.
David

The thread was locked because it became a flaming thread. Thats the first Ive seen of one on this forum. If you care to hang around and enjoy the forum, make yourself at home. Keep in mind, this is a Harley forum, not a motorcyclist enthusiast forum (which Im sure there is one out there), and is the focus of conversation for the most part. I wont dis you because you choose to ride something else, but I dont care to talk about your choice in rides. Plain and simple.
