I can relate to that Bizbro, only I went about it a little differantly. Told my wife I was buying a bike and she said she did not like the idea one bit! I Just said "Most men my age get a new wife, I'm just getting a bike" Then she said "Looking at it that way I think its a good idea". Not mean, just fact!

Welcome from North Carolina & congrats on the new ride. You guys have it all wrong about "whose the boss". You gotta be the boss but let her think she is. That way when you find the bike you like, she goes & gets it for you as an early christmas present. I got my Harley & she felt good about getting it for me.
