I bought my first bike in August 07 an fxdwg3 so I only have questions and want to buy parts, but I have to have 25 posts on other sections before I can post on the classifides. Not knocking the rules just wondering why? Maybe its because you guys don't want someone just here to get the perks of membership(ie deals from other members) and not care about the rest of the forum. I can understand believe me. I figure the last thing you more experienced members want is some green horn leaving comments when he or she doesn't have a clue about anything. I have talked to a few members and I am thankful for the info I have received. I am interested in all astects of the forum however I search for the answers to my questions before
i go asking the same questions that have been asked many times. This forum is by far the best thing on the web. as I said before I am not knocking the rules I was just wondering. Thanks in advance for the info.
I'm not a moderator, but I think the reasoning behind the restriction is to prevent people from signing up for the forum and then inundating the classifieds with ads for Mexican Viagra, etc... As far as the posts, just go to the new members forum and say "hi" to 25 new members. Or 24, really, since this posts counts I guess...
Hi Elk Hunter. I'm the Admin here at HDF and you hit the nail on the head in your first post. We get a ton of Trolls in the classified sections. We (admin and mods) are trying to keep the members here at HDF from getting ripped off like on Ebay. We are not here to compete with Ebay but to offer a free classified section for our members. We decided that if you couldn't spend 30 days getting 25 posts then you didn't need to post in the classified section. You've made it. Congratulations.
