Just another new guy here. Had a 2000 Road King Classic that I bought in Feb of 2000. LOVED that bike. Became very active in the local HOG Club, made a lot of new Harley friends and road it in 6 different states and visited Harley dealerships all over the US. Then BAM, one financial crisis followed by another as a result of a failed very large personal investment and in Nov of 2003 I was forced to sell my Hoggy. Figured I'd never own another as my personal credit suffered badly also as a result of the bad finances so I just walked completely away from the HD world. Even packed up ALL of my HD stuff and refused to wear something when I didn't what was on it anymore.
Well, well last Wednesday after working very hard the past 4 years to get back up on top I decided what the heck. I faxed an app to a large local HD Dealer and well.......the very next day on Thursday I was in the dealership signing the papers on my new 2008 Road King Classic in Vivid Black!!I had a set of Reinhardt's put on her and a download for them done and picked her up this past Friday! As luck would have it exactly 8 YEARS to the day I bought the 2000!! Rode all afternoon Saturday....sure did feel good.
I can't tell you how much I LOVE having a HOG back in the garage!
And is it me? Or do the 2008 RK's ride better than my 2000 did? Sure seems like it, but maybe I just forgot. LOL
