You might want to re-post your question on either the Tech or Sportster sites. You'd probably have a better chance in getting the answer your looking for[sm=signs003.gif]and Welcome to our family... "D"

If the cable lengths aren't changing, it is very easy...
Buy new grips because the left one probably wont come off intact if it's the stock rubber one.
Put a shim in your brake lever to keep it mostly depressed, mark and then loosen your throttle and return cables.
Remove the 2 screws from each switch housing
Put a towel on the ground under the throttle side to catch the ferrules in case they drop. Remove ferrules (little brass barrels that hold calbes into throttle grip.
Remove controls from both sides. 2 more screws each.
Pull press in tabs out of bars that hold the cables in place.
Remove bolts from risers/trees.
Reverse...

You will need to either remove or replace the throttle sleeve for the new bars (white plastic part) and be sure to lube the sleeve as well as all cables.

Changing cable lengths involves a bunch more work and I suggest picking up a shop manual for that so you can see the process.

Don't forget the loctite on the risers and don't over tighten the controls. Those bolts will strip easily.

The best money you can spend on your scoot is for the service manual! Good luck with your mods and welcome to the forum[hr]
