I have a 2005 Ultra Classic... I'm a little disappointed that it does not have the "Trademark Harley sound and feel." *(my previous bike was a '93 Classic with Screaming Eagle pipes with Turnouts). I've joined this forum to see if anyone has any advice on how I can make the bike sound more like the Traditional Harley with a bang and a bark to it - yet still be legal! I'm afraid people will think I'm riding a rice-burner (how disgraceful!) Thanks!
Many of us plan or have already done a Stage 1 upgrade (louder pipes/slip on mufflers, carb rejet/ECM remap, high flow air cleaner). That will solve the sound problem, and give your bike some more "OOMPH"!! [sm=gears.gif]
I am personally having Screamin Eagle 2 slip ons, a carb rejet and K&N air filter put on my soon-to-be delivered '05 Night Train.
Glad you found us. I know what you mean on the sound...doing the Stage I will increase the efficiency of the air intake...I put the Screamin' Eagle II's on my Electra Glide, and I'm very happy with it. Loud, but not too loud. You can go much louder I'm sure, but I didn't want that on my curiser...
Howdy Jeff and welcome. Hope that you enjoy your stay. There's a lot of good info here I'm sure that you will be able to find out what you want to know. Enjoy the ride.
