Hello...I am so excited to finally say I have a Harley. I have had all brands of bikes but only sat on a Harley once in my life. To tell you the truth I didn't see how there could be so much difference a metric and a Harley. I thought maybe it was just the loyalty to the name and nothing more. I bought a new Yamaha in 2007 and put about 3000 miles on it, when my wife and I were going by the local Haley Davidson dealer and she told me to stop in. From the moment I walked in I was treated like a king! All my questions were answered and away went the Yamaha. I do a lot of traveling around town, unless i'm on a poker run or riding in the mountains once in a while. So the sportster 1200 was perfect. I decided on the 105th. anniversary edition. Beautiful bike and it is very strong. So my theory of loyalty to the name was shot out the window. Yes it is part of it. But now I know why people love Harleys. Harleys have a feel and response that I have never felt in a metric bike. Plus that Harley sound! I had a guy pull a u-turn on the highway and come to where I was parked to take a look at it. Amazing! I spent over $3,000 on extras for the Yamaha and I have never got the attention this bike has generated. I bought the bike new about 3 weeks ago and have put a little over $1,000 of extras into it since I took the picture. All I can say is that I am Harley for life!
