I took 18 years off and just got my first Harley about a year ago as my "get back into riding" bike.

Only bit of advice from me would be to take your time and be careful relearning your skills. The environment has totally changed from even 15 years ago - road rage, cell phones, etc.

Welcome from Montana. I got back into riding last year after 40 years off. Started with a Sportster and got the Dyna 3 months later (much more comfortable).
It may take some getting used to again, but the Sporty wasn't much different than my 650 Triumph.
