When I got out of the army 37 years ago (VietNam: 1 year plus 1week = early out) I got a 57 panhead. Of course a 57 was only about 14 years old back then. Sold it a year later when I got married because it was the "responsible" thing to do. Raised kids, sent 'em to college, have four grandkids now, just celebrated our 36th anniversary... but always missed the bike.
Five years ago I picked up another 57 panhead... wrenched it and rode (more wrenching than riding it seemed) until just recently when I picked up a 99 FLSTS (Heritage Springer).
