WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ihave had that same problem for 1 1/2 years now and I am tired of push starting it. I have posted a few SOS's on the boards and I still have the problem. It has been to several shops and we can't find the problem.This is the last shop orI will part out the bike. I am looking to buy a 07 Custom Softail Delux. I don't want the payment but I need to ride. So I do hope he can find the problem. He said it sounded like the bendix but I have the same problem with 3 starters. I have repleced everything but the bike. I will let you know what he finds. I have been gone from these boards for a while. Life gets crazy and I got married and got a full time job and went back to school full time. Life will be better when I can ride again.

Hey welcome to the site, have a wild sporty myself.
Have you benched checked the starter? All electrical connections are solid? Is the starter new or a rebuild? Any info would help but I would recommend before pulling any hair out to go back to where you bought the starter and have them switcch it out with another..... could be faulty, boxed wrong, or if a rebuild, done wrong......
