I don't think the dealers are going to be marking the bikes up as much at this time. You should be able to strike a good deal since the market is down and Winter is coming up soon.

It sounds like you already know what you want, so you should email out tenders stating what you want to different dealers asking their lowest price. That way, you'll cut down on a lot of BS and save a lot of your time, since only the serious dealers will get back to you with a price.

The base price when I bought used was pretty much book. I negotiated some extras. HD factory stereo and crash bars with highway pegs as. We were both happy.
