and still wonder why I didn't buy a bike 20 yrs ago?

There have been a few days in a row that last couple of weeks that I didn't ride because of rain and when that happened I would get upset. Now I'm looking at chaps so at least I can continue to ride in the cold.

leatherup dot com has some good leather for great prices.

if my mentioning that is violating the rules let me know and I'll make sure not to do it again.

ride safe all.

Me too! Can't seem to ride mine enough. The chaps help a lot in the colder weather...my hands are what I have a hard time keeping warm. Not sure I want to go with the electric gloves yet.

They do have some great prices at the leatherup. I wonder about sizes. I hate ordering something and it doesn't fit right then going through the ordeal of sending it back and waiting for another one. Good luck.

With leather chaps, I'm good down to 30* or so. Considering some lined denim jeans, or maybe just "long johns" under the denim for when it gets colder than that. If it's cold and wet, I think the advice about lined chaps is right on the money.

Hello and welcome. I've used the regular leather chaps and also oilskin chaps. Either one works good at keeping the air away. But the leather ones are fairly bulky and heavy.
