Just got my 2009 Harley Road King Classic. After 40 years off a bike I bought a Suzuki c50t boulevard last June to make sure I wanted to get back in to biking (had a Triumph 650 back in the early 60's). Well I got the bug and bought a Harley soo we can do some traveling.
Have a few issues with the Harley that hopefully will get worked out. Getting a new seat that pushes me closer to the bars and having the rear passenger seat built up and mine lowered and installing the Heritage handlebars.
I'm having a problem with the windshield. It seems to be distorted around the edges and even if I look through it, the road and objects seem to be closer...almost like looking through bifocals! I saw on one of the reviews where the edges of the windshield (for example) make the road lines look double. You see the regular line then another set of lines that curve inward. This is exactly what mine is doing. Its very distracting. Never had that problem with my Suzuki. I see just over the windshield, but when going up a hill you can't help but look at the edge of the windshield or through it.
Congrats on the ride. Welcome back to riding and welcome to the forum. Lots to see and learn here. Be sure and look at the bike specific sections for your questions. Geez
congrats on your new road king and welcome to the forum and back to riding again....I have had several windshields and they were very distracting to me as yours are...just learned to live with it....not sure if theres a better company out there making less distorted shields or not
