New guy to Harley...
Background...
Ok, so here we go, I'm an ex- Jap bike guy... I moved to Oklahoma from about an hour West of Washington DC. I get here and 3 weeks later my motorcycle gets stolen and stripped... it's a horrible thing because I had dropped the insurance to drop tags and all because I was away for 9 months so, there was no insurance on it and I got stuck with the left over payments... well, I looked around and around for a new Kawi and found one but couldn't get a loan... so I looked around some more... Finally, I was at work and came outside on a break and low and behold there's a night rod sitting outside, I said I would never own a Harley-Davidson ever, but I would own a Night rod(keep in mind I said this while I had my Kawi). So Saturday, off to the H-D dealership I went, me and my 4 month old daughter. There was an 09 V-rod muscle, sunglo red in color. I wanted it bad but the pricing after being there for 4 hours and getting no mods approved, I decided I would go talk to the wife and come back Today. So, Today my wife and I go and talk to the sales woman, and my wife spots a black sportster 1200 low with chrome trim. I walk over to it and sit on it and it's not bad, but I was partial to black on black no chrome(the nightster I think it was.) I don't like chrome, well, didn't... So, here's what I ended up with...
I am the very very proud owner of a 2009 Harley Sportster 1200 low...
I can't leave things alone so I had the Screaming Eagle heavy Breather, Short Shot staggered Vance and Hines Black pipes, and the ECU performance upgrade...
The bike screams, rumbles and is what I wanted. It moves 1000 times better than I ever thought a H-D would... So I am official impressed and love this bike after putting almost 100 miles on it just tonight by myself...
I am now a Harley guy and I never thought I would be, Thank You!

Good on ya' getting your new Spotrster. I too am new to the Harley world ..... never thought I would own one.
