Welcome from Los Angeles. Those are two totally different rides to choose from. I love sportsters, used to have an 03 1200 custom (traded in for 04 Deuce) and I just recently bought an 08 883 Low for the wife. They are a blast to ride. I will have to say that riding a "full size" HD is very smooth and nice. 96ci engine has got plenty of power to spare. In the end, you have to pick the one that tickles your ego... and wallet.

I recently got my 1st Harley Davidson. A Road King Classic. Man do I love that bike! Either choice you make I know you are going to love it.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! My wife and I bought a 2009 Denim Black Street Bob last wednesday. So far it's awesome, too bad it really hasen't been the best bike ridding weather yet. Looking forward to putting some miles on it though!!!!!
