Welcome from Raleigh NC.
As you well know, there are motorcyclists on ALL makes and models, who are serious about their skills, and then there are the HORDES who buy a bike , because their "cool friends" have a bike. They get NO training, and either wrap their bike (sportbike-touring bike-cruiser) around a tree, or just scare their self silly.
I ride a large touring bike, and I have mirrors, which I use. You come up behind me, and I'll usually move aside and wave you by..... some of your ilk, are courteous and wait for a safe passing opportunity , others not so much.
Personally, I've found that the truly gifted sports bike rider, uses track days and closed courses to hone their skills. The hallmark of "squid-dom" is the use of a public road as a test track.
There are many video's of motorcycles of ALL types doing "stupid" things, in all sorts of situations. You tube is great for such, and I've enjoyed several hours of viewing, both "stupid rider tricks" as well as skill demonstrations. You will find enough of each, and you will find as many for sport bikes as cruisers.
Do a you-tube search, for "tail of the dragon" make some pop-corn, and settle in for horrors and thrills. Look for "yellow wolf" and his big yellow Goldwing, simply amazing
Hey man
You have made some very valid points. I agree with much of what you have said for sure.
Your right some of us have been to the track, i also dabbled at racing. At the end of the day my real passion is mountain roads hence why i live in them now.
I have seen that video of the Goldwing...it's an eye opener for most "squids" to show it's not the bike it's the rider.
Yes i am trolling but isn't that what the internet is for?

this a waste of time arguing about sportbike vs. HD cruiser... Must have a bunch of time to waste.
Welcome anyway from San Marcos, Tejas.

Gotta love them Wide Glide's
You got it wrong pal. It not about sportbike vs cruiser at all. That IS a pointless exercise. I just wanted to roam and see what you guys do, that's all.
After doing a little reading I found this Deuce....
Thanks for putting my fears at rest. I thought you might of been a decent rider. Alas, obviously you have no conception of how wide your bike is or how to split traffic properly.
Props to you for giving us a good name.
I didn't come out of the womb a riding professional, as you clearly must have. Both of those mentioned incidents took place on a Honda CB550. One was my mirror breaking theirs and the other was my fist taking the whole damn thing off after I was forced to stop and look at the jackass laughing as if pulling in and blocking the split lane was funny, so I broke his POS mirror assembly off his lowered civic and rode away.
I'm not really sure of the point you are trying to make. I could easily post 1000 videos of sportbike riders acting very ignorant.
The one of the naked guy on his Suzuki crotchrocket wiping out is quite funny.
You should have posted that.

yeh, that's the one.
As long as it's got 2 wheels, it's all good to me.
They are the stereotypical asshats no matter what genre of motorcyle they ride.
Alright fair game fellas. Thanks for the antagonistic laughs, i didn't come here to be a complete ***, just a little.
See you on the road.
On a final note..
Props to this fella. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nrMQ3QwyPo
