my 07 road king classic shakes a bit at idle. but not so it makes you sound like you're in a helicopter or anything.
try a different one. just to be sure

try a demo on a TC softy, they have balanced motor that dont shake like the rubber mounts on a touring bike, see if you like one over the other, thats why they make different ones.

I rented a lot of different models before buying one. Most of the models with non-counterbalanced engines will definitely have a more noticable vibration at idle or low revs. If it's really a problem for you, consider getting a Softail model... all have the counterbalanced engines.
