Ergo bars

Hello everyone! Just got here It's my first time in, heard good things about the forum so here I go. My bike is a 2007 SG and I just put a new set of ERGO BARS by KLOCK WERKS on it, they look great and feel great for positioning but way to close to the mirrors. When I place my hand on the grips, I see nothing behind me. Can anyone tell me if they have experience with these bars or someone you know, what is your opinion, are they supposed to be like that or not.

Welcome from Falls Church, VA! Maybe find mirrors with longer stems? There was a recent post about someone mounting their mirrors on the bottom side. He said it worked well but I'm a little skeptical. Might be worth a try.
