New to this forum...
Hi all,
Bought an '06 Heritage Standard (what the dealer calls it) in January and just wanted to jump on this forum.
The bike had the V&H Hi/Lo pipes and mustache bar on when I bought it and the dealer threw in a take-off Windshield.
I have since been shopping eBay for parts to make it more "classic" like. My wife is a clearance shopper, I can't help hunting for deals! (and there are so many great used parts out there!). I running at about 20% of retail for my buys.
So far, I've bought:
- '05 Studded driver and '06 studded passenger seats ($82 + $75, used)
- Studded backrest pad with rigid mounts, upright and medallion ($50, used)
- Two-up sport luggage rack ($41, used)
- Studded tank panel with pocket ($19, used)
- Saddlebag supports for throw-overs ($35, new)
- Older Heritage Bags ('95-'99) ($19, used - good shape, stiffener kit coming)
- Bassani 2-1 Long exhaust ($103, new, not pictured)
Currently, I have a set of Texas Saddles throw-over bags on it from my Yamaha V-Star that I traded. They will be sold to a friend when I get the heritage bags mounted up. I will also sell-off the Hi/Lo pipes once I get that changed over too. I bought the Bassani 'cause the wife has already melted two sets of boots on the upper pipe and the larger bags won't fit either.
