Haven't ridden since 77 when I had my last Harley.
I purchased an 05 Deluxe with 2,700 miles on it about 4 weeks ago. The seller did not really want to sell but he needed the dough. I got a good deal considering that this bike was set up exactly the way I would have done it if I had puchased it new. Ths sad thing is that in this economy there are many guys having to sell just because of needing the dough so badly. As you know each bike is a labor of love. I did not like having to watch this seller see his baby go. No consolation but it went to a guy who loves it as much as he did.
Last time I rode I did not need a motorcycle license. I did not need a helmet. The roads were less crowded and had less pot holes. There were no drivers using cell phones. I won't bore you with the story on how I decided to get a bike again but you all know once it is in your blood it never really leaves. I have 3 sons that I would rather not see ride. It is kind of do as I say not as I do. To dangerous now I don't like the odds. They will decide on their own. I'm glad they are busy with sports.
I joined the OC Chapter 2 weeks ago.
I already have some issues with my bike and I hope this forum will help me to straighten them out.
I am looking forward to sharing information here.
