Had to go back in to my profile to have it show my location. For those that inquired, I'm from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Too big to be called a town but damn near too small to call a city! I've been checking this board out pretty frequently for the last week as a guest. Seems like a really good bunch of people on here.
I'm trying to make arrangements so I can make the June rally in Effingham. Looking forward to meeting some of the other members from here. This is my first bike so I've been out riding as much as I can to get more comfortable, confident, and proficient at it. Just been taking it easy. Started out on the side streets where things are slow and fairly predictable. Then got a little more confident and ventured out on to the busy streets, and finally got the nerve to venture out on the highways. If I had known how much fun it is to be out on two wheels on a nice, sunny day I would have done this a long time ago! Got myself lined up to go to a basic rider safety class in June. Would you believe that was the earliest class I could get in?
Well, that's enough rambling about useless information. As I said, I'm really looking forward to the June outing. I'm 99.9% sure I'll be there. Just have a few details to take care of first. Hope to be making hotel reservations in the next few days. I noticed some people that might be taking the same route as me so I need to get in touch with them to see if they're interested in some company along the way.
