super Tuner
After 3yrs I still like it (SERT) but there are other really good systems.
I personaly don't like anything that piggybacks onto the ECM's but can't deny that there are K's of happy owners with those setups.
If u change pipes, cams, & other enginge parts yearly then yes it will cost more cause U'll need retuned after each mod with SERTand the auto tuner will save U $$$$. I personally paid for the first dyno, then this winter the cam job I had done Included a free retune in the winter package deal, which the dealers have all the time. So far I have paid $130 for all my dynos. 5 in all.
Some of the new F/M systems have auto tune and it will save U money in the long run if Ur constantly changing things.. Most don't but a few do..
Seems like most do stg1. first, and a large % never do any more..
Some do only stg1 & bolt in cams Like I did..
Some a couple yrs later do BB kits either 95/103 depend on YR, with bigger cams, new pipes again after realizing that 2-1's are really the better choice and head porting to really get it working all together..
So at the most the average person will need 2 dynos if planed right or 3 over a period of yrs.
Bottom line is do Ur homework (searches) and don't buy before U have really good knowledge and infromation. That way hopefully U can save money by not having to redo mods several times later...mostly I mean pipes and engine work.
