My fiancee and I just won a 09 Fatboy from a raffle at A.I. Dupont hospital. I've been a mc rider all my life but this is my first HD. I have ridden everything from on-off road bikes to crotch rockets and was settled with a sport tourer BMW before winning this bike. We feel like the luckiest people in the world!
The first mod coming this week is a new back seat, sissy bar, backrest and luggage rack since she'll never be comfortable on the back without those. I'll talk her into other mods as soon as she's comfortable on the back. If she can't get comfortable, I'll trade it on a bigger bike I guess...decisions, decisions!
The only trouble I'm having right now is with fuel.......I don't want to let the tank get down to E but when it gets down to just above the red line, I fill it up and can get 2.5gal max into the tank. Has anyone seen this happen? Could there be a problem between the two tank halves? I didn't get a manual when I picked it up but they are sending it as soon as they can.
Its off a little. mine is about 3 1/2 gal when it gets to the 1/4 tank line...
Doesn't it have the readout that show how many more miles U can go. Average is 40+mpg so reset one of the trips everytime u fill up and then refill around 150miles, should have bout 1 1/2 gal left, or let the warranty take care of it..
