I AM STILL VERY NEW TO THIS,WHAT IS THE BEST KIND OF LEATHER TO PURCHASE FOR WHEN I RIDE MY BIKE,AND WILL A FULL FACE HELMET BE BETTER AS A BEGINNER, THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.
All types of leathers out on the market. Full face helmets are the safest, but it is what you are comfortable with. Check out Ebay on some of your leather needs. If you watch, you can find some good buys.
Harley stuff is expensive but it's great quality. You can find some decent stuff at rallies as well. As for the helmet, what do you feel comfortable with?
Just what 12Stones said. HD leather is as good as it gets in terms of functionality and quality, but it is pricey!
I wear a full face because that's what I've always used and feel most comfortable with, especially with eyeglasses. I've put the speaker parts from a set of headphones inside mine and enjoy some tunes on longer rides.

I am new and using as half helmet. I was not comfortable in a full helmet. Goggles a must without a full face. I am also wearing Sears Diehard Boots for riding.
Hello and welcome from Columbia, MO
I use the HD leather, it's made well and has all the options but, there is lots of other good stuff out there made by other folks. I love my half, i can see and hear better but like mentioned above, glasses and i think, with a foam ring to cut down the eye watering, especially on the highway, is a must.
