i have a 1992 heritage softail. i recently replace the detent spring in the transmission. it had snap off and shifter would not return to central position. anyway. i now have a vibration that i cannot figure out. i removed and installed the compensator with an impact and am wondering if that didnt mess something up. this is all new to me so i have several questions. i surely could not have messed up timing because from what i understand the bike has ignition timing and cam timing and i did not mess with either one of those in the process of changing the spring. i am thinking that it is in the compensator, chain or chain tensioner which i have adjusted many times to no avail. any help would be greatly appreciated
