Hey everyone, I am from Western NC and finally bought my very first Harley. I have ridden motorcycles most of my life but hadn't owned a street bike until this year. I first bought a 03 Honda Shadow ACE Deluxe back in June and rode it a while and thought I was happy. I got a few friends with harley's which I had rode on occasion and loved them.
I am glad to say I finally scored the Harley in my sig just this past Tuesday at a awesome deal with an enclosed 6x12 trailer to boot. Trailer is painted all customy on the inside with harley stuff and is only 2 years old. The HD is the one in my sig. I got both the bike and the trailer for several thousand under what the bike is worth alone and am glad I pulled the trigger. All of the original stuff he took off to put Willie G. on is in the trailer along with the factory windshield.
The previous owner I knew somewhat. My workmate/best friend knew him better. Anyway the owner said a good friend of his just got killed on a bike (God rest his soul) and he couldn't bring himself to ride it anymore so it had to go.
I am very much in love with this bike already and my wife just loves the rear seat way better on the HD. There is just no comparison between the torque of the 96 and the Shadow's little 750.
Glad to finally be a member of the Harley family and speaking of family, lets all remember the family of the prev. owners friend who got killed.
