Just wanted to say Hello and also Thank You for all the good information I have received from the forum.
Just returned from putting a down payment on a nice 2008 FXD Super Glide. Unfortunately it is raining and wet here today and for the next few days or it would be in my garage.
I had been between buying a Sportster and the FXD and the information in the forum convinced me to go with the FXD.
Also, I had always ridden bikes with forward controls and the FDX had mid controls, but thanks to the information from many of you in the forum I have decided to go with the mid controls.
Thank you to all of you. You may have saved my marriage of 42 years. This is the 3rd bike I have bought this year and my wife tells me this had better be the last and I believe it will.
I did not tell her how many chrome goodies and other things that are available for the FDX, but I think I can hide those purchases from her.
Congrats Steve!! You made a great choice! Glad to have you join in the fun. Great place to hang around.... you may learn a little, may learn a lot, may not learn anything. But you will have a few good laughs and make some new friends. Welcome. Geez
