overheat?

my bike's tach just went from running at 3000 rpm to 5000 after a long ride and it was very hot out 34C. could this be caused by the heat? thanks

running at 110 km an hour after a long ride my tach jumped from 3000 rpm to about 5000rpm. the temp outside was around 34 C, could the heat do this

Most likely not the ambient heat. We're hotter than that in Dallas and my virgin Bob does not do that
