Hello all. Fairly new to the forum. Lurking for some time now.
After several years bikeless I purchased a V-rod
last year to have some fun and figured it was something the wife and I could do together. She was starting to like the idea of having a bike, as some girlfriends had bought them. Well fast forward a few months and she liked it so much she bought a fatboy for herself.
Now after riding the v-rod back and forth to work (120 mile round trip) in an unseasonably cold Michigan summer I found a couple trips on her fatboy with the wind shield to be pretty refreshing. Nowhere near the fun factor in terms of acceleration and handling but great for cruising and a better posture for the long trips. It left me really looking differently at baggers and the like.
So again forward a few months and I am just closied the deal and brought home a 2007 Road King Police edition. It is pretty well pimped out already and the only mods I'll do at the start is a seat and some exhaust.
From V-rod to bagger in six months.
BTW props to Pat at Vehicle City Harley in Flint for all his help during the sale.
