Default Dyna vs Softtail

I've rode softails and never road a Dyna Engine bike just looking for the pro and cons between the two, still thinking about a fat boy though.

Let me be the first to welcome to the Forum from snow covered Indy. We need the snow to melt and spring to arrive. Personally I prefer the ride of the softails.

Welcome to the forum from Michigan! I'm a dealer's dream, I bought a new Dyna and decided that a Heritage would be much better for long trips. 2 weeks later I had a 2010 Heritage and I'm not looking back. Dyna is a great bike, I have nothing bad to say about it, but for me, I was about to spend a lot of money to turn it into a Heritage without the suspension, bigger tires, etc and decided the Heritage was right for me. Ride 'em both, consider what you want to use your bike for and go from there.

I chose the softail. For me, it was the look of the hidden shocks and the cleaner look. I wanted a drag look with fwd controls and the softails catered to that right off the showroom floor. But, the big deciding factor for me was the counter balanced engine of the softail. I for one just like the clean appearance and how smooth the softtails ride... my .02...
