I found myself in your place about 3 months ago. Never rode anything other than a dirt bike way back when I was a teenager. I was sure I wanted a Softail standard since it seemed less intimidating. I actually bought mine prior to taking my motorcycle safety class which worked out for me; however, I do wish I would have waited and taken a few test drives on different model. Not saying that I donâ€™t like my Softail standard, itâ€™s doesnâ€™t seem the best choice for the longer rides but I love the clean lines that make it look sporty. Either way welcome and I hope you enjoy your new ride once you get it.
