Rain Rain go away.
I am finding it soooo hard to just sit on my new bike while it is parked in the garage. Too wet here to ride.
I just bought my first Harley last friday. She is an 08 XL883L and was lowered an additional 1.5". She was sized for a 4'10" gal and the only issue I have with the bike is the mid controls. I need to stretch out a bit so forward controls will be my first add on. If anyone knows of a great deal on a set of Chrome forward controls....
I have only been riding my own since last March. Something that I have wanted to do since I got my drivers license back in 78. My family is wondering why I would want to do this at age 50. I say 'why not'. But having said that, my sons..age 21 and 17 got me a heated vest for my birthday.
My photo is currently one with me last year and my boyfriends old 03 Softail Heritage. He now has an 08 StreetGlide. I will replace that with my own bike picture once the darn rain goes away.
I am looking forward to the first time I ride up to our local StarBucks on her.

There sure is a mixed bag of people on this forum and I look forward to perusing through all the threads.
Oct1949...I do know what it is like to be in snow and I actually enjoy the odd snow fall that we get here. I was born in Montreal and also spent 7 years in Inuvik NWT. It is 62 miles from the Arctic Ocean and 124 miles north of the Arctic circle. Known for its 56 days of continuous daylight in summer and 30 days of night in winter.
Here is a wikipedia link if interested. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inuvik,...st_Territories
I also love NY. I spent the winter and spring there in 2003. Huge snow storm in Manhattan that took the city 8 days to clear out.
I had never seen anything like that before.
