was the used bike price from a dealer or from the owner ?
dealers tend to have an inflated idea of what used bikes are worth , unless you're trying to trade one in , in which case they're worth about half what you think they are
and used prices generally don't reflect the mods on a bike , unless it's being sold by the owner who will probably be trying to get his full 'investment' back
prices vary as to what area of the country Ur in, time of the yr and how bad one wants to sell it...
around here hasn't been a bike in the paper for a while, 5-8 weeks... even last fall when there were some listed the prices were not as low as I've seen some say they've paid for theres in here..
Ride safe and have a great spring.
Nice to have you aboard HDF,

Don't pay list... too many good deals to be had out there on used bikes... negotiate! If they don't come down, find another bike / dealership... you can get a bike shipped from anywhere in the country right now for @ $600, if need be... good luck in your search.
$13K - $15K Low to High Retail on the bike you are currently looking at...
Thank you all for your posts and thank you for the "welcomes"!
I am a fairly new rider looking to upgrade with little no-experience in bike pricing.
I appreciate all your information provided. My intent is to offer 13,000 for the "new" model - That is in my range of budget and allows some room for negotiation. Does anyone think this is too much of a lowball offer... should I go lower/higher?
