12Stones: The BASTAARDS name is an acronym that my brother and I came up with back when we were starting a local club out in California. The club never took off, but the name stuck around.
It was originally Bikers Against Social Trends Aimed At Restructuring Democratic Society (which meant whatever we wanted it to mean at the moment) When I started my website years ago, I was writing political and social commentary and even got published, but that phase of my life just fizzled. Now it is the home of my photos, my newest obsession. [8D]
Anyway... The bike I was going to buy today fell through when the dealer wanted to tack on 3 grand to the price of the 883R and I told them to keep it.
Instead I went down and I bought a stock 883 that I can trick out myself.
Here it is...
So far, so good. The riding position is a lot different than I am used to (last bike was a 90 FLHS) but it's all good. I had some fun on it today, doing the gentle break-in thing.
