Default New harley rider

Hello everyone. Just bought my first Harley on Sunday. It's a used 2005 Heritage Softtail Classic. Owned a Yamaha Royal Star for 3 years prior to the new purchase. Took quite a bit of a sales pitch to explain to my wife the "need" to upgrade. Needless to say, I'm going to be having to buy lots of jewelry and other odds and ends to make up for it

Anyway, glad to have these forums to go to for information. I'm riding in the Ft. Lauderdale area if anyone has tips on some riding clubs/groups in the area.

Welcome to the forums from the Arizona Highlands. If you gatta buy your wife lots of stuff just to have the bike, how the heck are you gonna buy trinkets for your Softailed Mistress?

Here's how it works, you go to the HD shop, you guy stuff for the bike, at the same time, you pick up a little something for the wife, and she'll be happy.

Maybe we should start a thread on places to buy things for the Mrs. My wife won't ride with me, hates motorcycles, but the first thing we did at the Harley dealer was to buy her a Mardi Gras T-Shirt. Later she fell in love with a pin w/ an angel on a motorcycle. Cost all of $3.95. I'm working on her slow, but hopefully sure.
