There's really very little difference in performance from any of the air cleaners. Even the stock air cleaner can flow enough air at normal riding rpm's. It isn't until you start to get above 4000 or 4500 rpms that the stage I air cleaners make any appreciable difference. And even then, it's a modest gain. You don't need more than just a stage I air cleaner until you start getting into big inch motors. So, buy what you like and looks good to you.
As far as fuel management, there's so many ways to go, it's hard to capture it in just a few words. I've had good luck with the V&H fuelpak on stage I bikes. I'm currently using the PCV with autotune, and it works very well, and can handle future upgrades like cam changes. You can learn a lot by searching the threads on the various types of systems.
