I'm new to the forum and to riding, but not to love of HD motorcycles. When I was 13 or so, my family vacationed in Myrtle Beach during what happened to be Bike week 1990 (we were all VERY surprised). I've been hooked ever since.
I've kept my desire to own and ride a Harley as dormant as possible for the twenty years since then, quietly admiring and envying every Harley rider that passed me by. Two summers ago, when gas prices were at their highest, I bought a 50cc scooter for my girlfriend to ride to school, to save some money on gas. She didn't take to riding it (she felt unstable on it) but I fell in love with riding it immediately. The first second I was on the road on my girlfriends little scooter with the wind in my face and the smells of the outdoors and heard a Softail Deluxe roaring by me, it was over. I HAVE to have a Harley. I love the sound, the style, the riders, the community. I can't wait for my first ride on one. First, I need some advice on my path there. I'll post that on an appropriate thread, in a moment.
I can't wait to be posting pictures of my first Harley. Wish me luck! Thanks all, in advance, for your time. I look forward to getting to know you.
