You say you're new to biking. If you experience any difficulty, its most likely to be with slow speed manouvers. If you can find an area such as a car park (parking lot) which is empty one day a week, you will probably find it very helpfull to practise such manouvers there for a few hours to build your confidence.
From what other american riders have posted here I would also recommend taking the MSF training course.
