I up graded from a 08 Nightster to a 09 Rocker, Softtail . I wish i had never wasted money on the Nightster . It looks good but has the worst ride . I was about to just give up on HD's thinking that thay all had a bad ride . It was so bad with vibrations and bone jaring rear shocks .
Any way .. So glad i tried the Rocker . Its like night and day . Smooth ride . Now i cant wait to ride .
I bought both bikes used , thay both had low miles , less than 5000 . So i an still breaking it in .
Good luck on picking your new bike .
Dyna bikes are a nice upgrade. Best bike for the dollar. I would stay away from 2006 big twins. I believe that was the year they had a bad bearing in the engine ( I think it was called the primary bearing ) and the stators would self destruct. Both costly repairs.
look bro 12k miles is nothing..... like the other guys said. they arnt broken in til that high. 25k is still low for a well maintaned bike. For the post look out for dynas.... hahah i cant laugh enough. i have a dyna with 60k on it. rides to sturgis every year.. never trailored.. o and i run nitrous threw it weekly.. o and i have cam an head work.. making the sleeve thinner should raise an eye right esp running nitrous ( on a dyna)... well i got news for you..my dyna starts everytime i want it to. runs perfect at 60k, and i pull away from street bikes sorry asses up into the 1000cc all day long. so ya.. you take care of a bike it will take care of you. doesnt mater what kind it is.. someone who is gonna tell you a dyna is worse than a duece and bagger is better than a this or worse than a that.... give me a break. do they know bikes? take care of what you get. everyone has a pref of the perfect bike. but only you will ride yours. later. goodluck
