I just purchased my first HD ( 2010 Street Glide ) and I installed the V&H 2 into 1 Power Duals, with dual Rinehart slip On's. I also baught the Screaming Eagle Super Tuner along with the Arlen Ness Big Susker kit. My local dealer said the could not complete the full Dyno until I have at least 1,000 miles on my bike. Does anyone know if this is accurate as I have heard 500 miles was adequate? I was also wondering if anyone else has used this combo or know of anyone with combo, and would be able to tell what type of HP/Torque gains I should expect see vs. stock once it's been fully tuned on the Dyno? Any feedback would be appreciated..
Being new to the site I'm still trying to figure out exactley how it works. Took me 20 minutes to get this posted. how exactley do I get to the Tech portion of the site? Haven't quite mastered the site yet.
The 1000 mile breaking in is just a rule of thumb. It's probably well seated long before that. Now, this is just my opinion. But since you haven't done anything to the bike that will make substantial increases in torque or HP, why spend a lot of money on having a dyno done? Since you have the SE tuner, you can load a SE stage 1 map that will come very very close to your setup for free. Check with the service tech where you bought the bike.
