Figured it was about time I joined up and said hello, I've been reading these forums for ages. Finally started to tear down my bike. I'm a little excited and nervous at the same time.
Putting in a new Ultima 113" engine, new 6 speed tranny, new open belt primary, new SAS air suspension system, new exhaust, and a new chrome swingarm on my 97 FLSTS. Most of this will be a learning experience for me. At least I will know everything about my bike when I'm done.
Day 1. Got her up on my pitbull lift. Removed 2up rack, sissy bar, saddle bags, rear fender, gas tank and passenger floor boards. Everything seems pretty straight forward so far...no big surprises I couldn't figure out.
