Thanks again for the welcomes everyone, I appreciate the support for all of our brothers and sisters in arms that are serving or have served in support of our countries freedom. It disappoints me that the Patriotism that everyone displayed after 9/11 has wained over these past couple years even though people are still fighting and dying. I remember exactly where i was and what i was doing when it happened. I couldnt go anywhere without seeing a yellow ribbon or american flag on someones car or on a flag pole in someones yard. Not so much anymore. I miss that. Let us never forget
Where from Pensacola you from! I grew up in Milton Florida, only 2 miles from Whiting Field. My twin sister lives in Crestview now and works at The EOD school on Eglin AFB. Small World Man.
I live between the front and back gate of NAS Pensacola
at the end of fairfield on the water

That's why the 9/12 project is so important!
I'm Canadian but remember 9/11 always! I pray USA becomes the GREAT NATION once again as I remember it during the Regan yrs. You guys need a President who does'nt apologize to the world and a First Lady who has only been "proud to be an Americian" since 2008.
Thank you to you Hardluck and all the Service People who not only are defending America but the rest of the world encluding me.
hardluck*deluxe.. Welcome and God Bless. Come home safe and sound so you can ride that scoot and partake of the freedoms you and your brothers and sisters over there are sacrificing to protect.

Hey bro...I know exactly what you are talking and I hate to sound cynical but I had it in the back of my mind that the support first shown was going to be short lived. I am active duty AF as well and I remember where I was...stuck at Kunsan AB, South Korea. I'm also a NY'er and remember my buddy running down the hallway to get me because of what was going on. The PACAF commander specifically came out to Kunsan and Osan to tell us all we wouldn't be going anywhere in response to what happened because of where we were already stationed and the threat level there. It was a pretty frustrating time for me with the whole slew of emotions running through me. Being in the military AND being a NY'er I felt like I was failing and I felt trapped. Thankfully we had a really good Chief in the shop that understood what was going on with me as I re-decorated his office the fast and violent way in anger.
Don't let the complancency of people back home blur your focus especially when you are down range. Put the politics to the side of the issue. We voluntarily raised our right hand and made a pledge and you are honoring that pledge right now. There are people all around down there that have done the very same thing and your buddies on both sides of you is what matters. It's not all lost either bro...look at this forum and all these welcomes these people give to us that wear the uniform. Everybody has their reasons when it comes to bikes but I ordered my Harley because it is an American bike and the support the company and so many of the riders give to us. Harley has done this through the decades and has never been a heat of the moment thing when it was popular to do so. There is still a lot of good back home and you remember that when you are down in the sandbox. Then get yourself back home to that wife and son of yours and take that bike out for a nice long ride and download. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm preaching to you but I wanted to throw that out there for you.
