I have posted a few times now, but have never actually posted in the new members posting area. I am from Kingsford, MI. I am 22. I just bought my first bike (1992 883 Sportster). I bought it from a buddy of mine. He just purchased a new Softail. He informed me that in 2 or 3 years that he will sell it to me (if only I have the money). Which I could buy that bike, but think I will be on the Sportster until I get my feet settled since I still have one year left of college. I am attending Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI (Upper Peninsula). I am going to school for Criminal Justice. This past year I got my EMT License and my FireFighter I Certification. I volunteer for the Breitung Township Fire Department and have been on the department for over a year now. My family is most important in my life. I have two adorable nephews and an awesome neice. They mean the world to me. As far as my bike goes, there are only a few things I want to add (fix) on it. They would include putting a stretched tank, bobtail fender, LED turn signal mirrors, and forward controls. I have enjoyed this forum so far and hope to continue to. I usually don't post a lot, but read a lot of what people say. I have appreciated all that people have told me so far. I have received the "V-Twin" magazine in the mail. Very large book with lots of goodies in it. Hope to meet some friends in this forum.
Sounds like you are on your way to getting your bike setup like you want it. Have fun with it until you are settled. Then go nuts and blow all you money on Harleys like the rest of us (LOL).
