I'm new to this forum. I have a 2004 Hertitage. When I turn the key on and the electronic ignition stops pumpin, it's taking longer than usual for the engine light to go out.
Plugs were changed not too long ago, and oil was changed in the last 2 days. Can anyone tell me why the light stays on longer?
Thanks!
Flipper
I have the same thing in my 09 EG Classic. It goes out eventually. Not sure why.
By the way, this section is kind of an "introduce yourself" section. Go back to the main page & scroll down. There are sections for Touring questions, a Sportster section, Softtail questions, etc. Somebody there has probably had the same question once.
Welcome to the Forum, from south central Texas. By the way, how did you aquire the nickname flipper? That has been my nickname around here for over 20 years. I wore some swim fins on a river float, and a fellow drunken floater called me flipper... and it just kinda stuck. I chose to use another nickname as my screen name though. Good Luck with that check engine light.
