Advice..
Well.. I don't actually think I am getting a run around or anything like that.. since I've been waiting for the title I did a lot of searching around and I think I did get a fair price on the bike (not a jaw dropping deal or anything, but fair) and they are matching what my credit union offered for financing terms.. I will probably just take the gap off and get that through my credit union and then negotiate the doc fee. Thanks for your help!!
Today is 2 weeks from when I signed the paperwork for the bike, they claim they still do not have the title.. Has this ever happened to anybody before? Apparently they took the bike in trade the day before I got there so they hadn't got the title from paying off the previous loan.. I'm in MA, just feels weird to me but I have no idea why they would not want to sell the bike as quick as possible...?
When I traded a car, the dealership wanted the title. I told the dealer I had to go look for it. He gave me 30 days but in the end I could not find it. The dealer had me pay a $30 processing fee so they could get a new copy from the state. So if they are going through something similar this could take 2 months.
Until the deal is done you can back out of any portion, no matter what a stealership says. Check your local laws if concerned. It's worth $50 for a lawyer consultation if you're really concerned.
Why do you think they call it "upselling" anyway? Most of that stuff that is added puts a huge percentage of that money directly in the salesman's pocket. They're finacially motivated to jab you if they can.
Oh yeah, welcome to the forum!
