Hello from Tx
My name's Wendy. I'm 38 and live just outside Austin, Texas. I've been lurking around on the forums for months and figured it was time to finally do a first post. I grew up around Harleys but never learned to ride until recently. My stepdad lost his leg several years ago after getting hit by a drunk driver while on his bike and that scared me out of learning to ride, but this year I decided life was too short for absolutes based on fear and with his blessing I got my motorcycle license. After a couple of false starts on bikes that were admittedly a little ambitious for me right out of the gate (such as the beautiful 2010 Wide Glide I promptly dropped on my foot in my gravel driveway on my first ride /cringes. It is now parked until I decide what to do with it) this past April I got an orange and black 09 Nightster that I am totally in love with. Now I wonder why I waited so long to to get out there and ride!
