thats low miles on any yr Harley, on the 88's the tensioners is the one thing to check out for sure along with the rest of the bike.

Have a wrench check her out if U cant or don't know how for Ur peace of mind..

Is it Fuel Injected or Carbed? I ask because some dealers no longer support the old Magnetti-Marelli FI system and some parts are had to find. Techs who know how to work on them are even HARDER to find. Now some folks have never had problems with their old M&M bikes, and others have had nothing but problems. However no one ever complains about having a carb on their bike. Check the swing arm as they have been known to crack at the axle hole on the belt side, although it's not likely since that bike has such low mileage.
