Welcome from another Maryland rider. I know how you feel. I picked up my new 2011 Ultra Classic on the 23rd also. So far I've got a whopping 17 miles on it. With the snow we're getting today, I guess it will be January before I break 20 miles on the new bike. Come on Spring. Planning a 2400 mile round trip down the the Blue Ridge Parkway in June to hit the Tail of the Dragon.
